Trump warns of potential severe damage to Iran’s oil infrastructure
US President Donald Trump has stated that Iran’s oil infrastructure could suffer serious damage if oil production is reduced.
In an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt, the US leader said Iran is starting to have a problem because the situation is extremely explosive in many ways, Caliber.Az reports.
According to him, when oil production stops, especially underground, in almost 100% of cases, it literally explodes and destroys everything around it.
“And you can never get that oil again. In other words, you can get back 30 to 40%. But it can never be like it is right now. It does tremendous damage to the oil system in a country if that happens,” Trump said.
Earlier reports said Iraq had reduced oil production due to full storage facilities and difficulties exporting via the Strait of Hormuz amid regional tensions.
Some shipments are being routed through a pipeline to Türkiye, but volumes remain lower than maritime exports.
