Turkish delegation visits Karabakh University
A high-level Turkish delegation has visited Karabakh University as part of a broader visit to the region.
The delegation included members of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye—Hulusi Akar, Şamil Ayrım and Sayın Bayar Özsoy—alongside Mustafa Yalçın, Mayor of the Talas district in Kayseri province, and Türkiye’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Birol Akgün, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
It also comprised senior officials from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), representatives of Kayseri’s municipal administration, university rectors, academics, and business leaders.
During their visit, the delegation toured Karabakh University and met with the academic staff. The university’s rector, Shahin Bayramov, briefed the visitors on ongoing reconstruction efforts and efforts to align the institution with modern academic standards.
Members of the delegation observed classes, visited several lecture halls, and held discussions with students on educational and cultural matters.
The State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the Special Representative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district facilitated the visit.
