Turkish forces enter Syria from three directions VIDEO
Turkish Armed Forces have entered Syria from three directions: Afrin, Ras al-Ayn, and northern Aleppo, the Turkish outlet KARAR reports.
The outlet says that the main thrust of the Turkish advance is aimed at the Manbij line.
Official Damascus has also deployed additional forces to the Deir ez-Zor area, currently controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (considered a terrorist organisation by Türkiye, linked to the PKK/YPG). Government troops are receiving artillery support and aerial cover from unmanned aerial vehicles.
Turkish forces entering Syria in armoured military vehicles
The report indicates that one Turkish military convoy entered Syria via the Deir Ballut border crossing, heading toward Aleppo province. A second convoy crossed the border at night through the Adwania checkpoint.
The military columns reportedly include not only armoured vehicles but also various logistical elements.
