Two injured after overnight Russian strike on Odesa region PHOTO

Russia launched another overnight attack on Ukraine’s Odesa region, damaging residential buildings, critical infrastructure and injuring civilians, according to emergency authorities.

Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported that the strike caused multiple fires and destruction in populated areas.

“In the residential sector, four houses and a non-residential building were damaged: parts of the houses were destroyed, windows were shattered, structures were affected, and three passenger cars were also damaged. Two people were injured. Critical infrastructure was also hit — fires broke out, which rescuers promptly extinguished,” the agency said.

Emergency crews were quickly deployed to contain the damage and extinguish the fires.

According to the statement, responders involved in the aftermath included State Emergency Service units, a local fire brigade and additional equipment provided by the Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Ukraine.
