Two injured in Russian attack on Amstor shopping centre in Ukraine

Two men were injured in a Russian attack on a shopping centre in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports. The shopping centre was identified as the Amstor mall by the ASTRA Telegram channel.

Rescuers released footage showing the aftermath of the overnight strike on the city. The two injured men, aged 37 and 39, sustained wounds. The strike sparked a major fire at one of the city’s shopping centres, which rescuers extinguished across an area of 6,000 square meters.

“Rescue operations had to be carried out in extremely difficult conditions. Due to the risk of repeated attacks, the work was periodically suspended so that personnel could move to a shelter. All emergency services were working at the scene,” the statement said.
