Two killed in Russian drone attack on Ukraine's Sumy

Two people were killed and others injured in a Russian drone attack on the Ukrainian city of Sumy, local authorities said.

A Russian jet-powered drone struck civilian infrastructure, damaging warehouses and vehicles, according to Oleg Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Caliber.Az reports.

“There have been hits. Unfortunately, the death of one person has been confirmed; their identity is currently being established,” Hryhorov said.

He later reported that a second person had died in hospital from severe injuries.

Sergei Krivosheenko, head of the Sumy City Military Administration, said the drone strike hit a post office, triggering a fire.
