Two civilians were killed and another person was injured in a series of Russian attacks on Ukraine's northeastern Sumy region, local authorities said on June 6.
According to Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, an elderly woman was found dead in the Khutor-Mykhailivska community following a Russian strike that triggered a large fire in a residential area, Caliber.Az reports.
Emergency services reported that the attack set a two-story apartment building and several garages ablaze, causing significant damage.
Russian forces launched drone and guided bomb attacks on the Vorozhba community. A civilian man was killed on the grounds of his home during the strike, Hryhorov said.
Meanwhile, another civilian was injured in the city of Trostianets after a Russian attack hit a non-residential building, according to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.
