Ukraine’s Nova Poshta says Odesa terminal destroyed beyond repair PHOTO / VIDEO / UPDATED

Ukraine’s postal and courier company Nova Poshta has said the Russian attack on its logistics terminal in Odesa destroyed the facility, which is beyond repair.

According to officials, the strike demolished the European-standard sorting line. No employees were injured, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.

Russia has attacked a logistics terminal operated by Nova Poshta in Ukraine’s Odesa region with another drone, Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, has confirmed.

She said a fire broke out at the site following the strike but has since been completely extinguished, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.

No casualties have been reported so far.

Emergency services are working at the scene, while the extent of the damage is being assessed.

The Russian military launched a series of strikes on Ukraine’s Donetsk, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions overnight and on the morning of August 31, killing two people and injuring another 27.

In Sloviansk, Donetsk region, a FAB-500 airstrike destroyed part of a multi-story residential building and a private house. At least 32 apartment buildings, a hotel and a kindergarten were damaged. Four people were injured, according to Ukrinform. 

In Kherson region, Kherson and 42 other settlements came under fire. Residential buildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged, while 16 people were injured.

In Mykolaiv region, a 44-year-old man was injured in a drone attack. A warehouse and nine vehicles were damaged.

In Sumy region, 30 attacks on 16 settlements were recorded over the past 24 hours. Residential buildings and administrative facilities were damaged.

In Zaporizhzhia region, a drone struck a fire and rescue station. The building and equipment were damaged, but no rescuers were injured.

In addition, explosions damaged warehouse facilities in Boryspil, Kyiv region. A column of smoke rose over the city, while an air raid alert was declared in the region overnight.

Two people were killed in the latest Russian strikes on Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, while six others were injured across three regions, according to local regional military administrations.

Over the past 24 hours, 923 strikes were recorded across 51 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. The attacks killed two people and injured three others, Caliber.Az reports via Ukrainian media.

In Kherson, a Russian drone struck a medical facility in the morning, injuring two employees — a 62-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman. They suffered concussions and traumatic brain injuries.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian forces attacked four districts more than 10 times using aerial bombs, UAVs and artillery. An enterprise was damaged, and fires broke out in Pavlohrad district, while a 38-year-old man was hospitalised.
