Two years pass since crash of Azerbaijani military helicopter in Garaheybat
Two years have passed since a military helicopter of the State Border Guard Service crashed at the Garaheybat aviation range located in the Khizi region while performing training flights.
Caliber.Az recalls that as a result of the crash of the military helicopter in 2021, 14 people were killed, and 2 more were injured.
The Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case under Article 352.2 (Violation of rules of flight or preparation for flight, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence) and other articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The investigation of the criminal case was taken under special control by the Prosecutor General.
During the disaster, Colonel Fizuli Ali Ibram oglu Javadov, Lieutenant Colonel Emil Nazir oglu Nazirov, Major Elmir Mirjalil oglu Hasanov, Major Elbrus Samraddin oglu Akhmedov, Major Emil Shahid oglu Mayilov, Major Murad Yashar oglu Mamedov, Major Emil Elman oglu Aliyev, Captain of the Medical Service Jeyhun Khanlar oglu Akhmedkhanov, captain Javid Ahliman oglu Bayramli, captain Khayyam Alikhan oglu Aliyev, captain Teymur Anvar oglu Garaisaev, lieutenant Abdulla Telman oglu Suleymanov, senior lieutenant Farid Tayyar oglu Nagiyev and reserve colonel Elchin Fikret oglu Nabiyev died.
