UAE to build new solar power plant in Uzbekistan

A meeting between the leadership of the territorial division of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade (MIFT) and representatives of the Masdar company (UAE) was held at the administration of the Sherobod district of the Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan.

The meeting was dedicated to studying the current state of the implementation of the project for the construction of a solar photoelectric power plant, Trend reports with reference to the MIFT.

During the conversation, the stages of the project implementation, the progress of preparation for work within the framework of the next construction phase, as well as organizational issues related to the laying of high-voltage lines across the territory of Sherobod and adjacent areas were considered in detail.

After a comprehensive analysis of the technical parameters of the project, the necessary measures were developed to ensure the timely implementation of the project.

The investment project for the construction of a solar photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 457 MW is being implemented by the Masdar company from UAE in the Sherobod district of the Surkhandarya region in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-85 dated January 14, 2022.
