UK considers response following Russia’s expulsion of British diplomat

The British government stated on January 15 that it was "carefully considering" its response after Russia expelled a British diplomat, who it said was an undeclared officer in the UK’s intelligence services.

The Foreign Office noted in a statement that it was "not the first time the Kremlin has made malicious and baseless accusations against its staff," Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.

"Their targeting of British diplomats comes out of desperation, and actions like this undermine the basic conditions required for diplomatic missions to operate," it added.

Earlier, Russia announced the expulsion of a British diplomat, accusing him of being an undeclared officer of the UK’s intelligence services and engaging in espionage.
