UK expands Russia sanctions with 19 new listings

The United Kingdom has expanded its sanctions against Russia, adding 19 new entries to its sanctions list.

The updated list includes 13 companies and individuals, as well as six vessels, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

Sanctions were imposed on five banks, including Ozon Bank, Roseximbank and Centre-Invest Bank.

Separately, Ukraine's acting Defence Minister Yevhen Khmara met with UK Defence Secretary Wes Streeting.

The talks were also attended by acting Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Brigadier General Serhii Sobko and an intelligence representative.

The sides discussed further defence cooperation. Khmara said the UK had guaranteed long-term support for Ukraine of no less than £3 billion annually.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue strengthening their long-term and mutually beneficial defence partnership.
