UK expands sanctions against Russia, adding 18 new entries
The United Kingdom has expanded its sanctions list against the Russian Federation, adding 18 new entries, including eight companies and ten individuals.
Among those targeted are several employees of the “Alabuga Start” program, as well as companies and citizens from Russia, Belarus, and France, Caliber.Az reports, citing the British Treasury website.
Since the start of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, Western countries have imposed extensive sanctions on Moscow.
Disruptions to logistics chains have contributed to sharp increases in fuel and food prices, including in Europe and the United States.
Russian officials have repeatedly stated that the country has successfully withstood sanctions pressure, while also arguing that Western governments have failed to acknowledge the ineffectiveness of the restrictions.
