Ukraine accuses China of supplying satellite intelligence to Russia
The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (FISU) has recorded evidence that China has provided Russia with satellite intelligence used to target facilities in Ukraine, including those belonging to foreign investors.
“There is evidence of a high level of cooperation between Russia and China in conducting satellite reconnaissance of Ukraine's territory to identify and reconnoiter strategic targets for destruction. At the same time, as we have seen in recent months, these targets may belong to foreign investors,” said Oleh Aleksandrov, an employee of the Foreign Intelligence Service, in a comment to Ukrinform, Caliber.Az reports.
The intelligence service has so far declined to reveal further details about the specific sites in Ukraine that were struck using Chinese satellite data.
Earlier, FISU Head Oleh Ivashchenko told Ukrinform that China supplies special chemicals, gunpowder, and machine tools to 20 Russian military factories. He added that by early 2025, 80% of the critical electronics used in Russian drones were of Chinese origin.
