Ukraine air defence destroy Russia's 6 Kalibr missiles, 25 Shahed drones
The Russians attacked the southern oblasts of Ukraine overnight. Ukrainian air defence forces destroyed six Kalibr missiles launched from the sea towards Odesa, as well as 21 Shahed drones in Odesa Oblast and four more over Mykolaiv Oblast. One man was wounded in these attacks.
"Several waves of attack drones were aimed at detecting and exhausting air defence forces. And after that, six Kalibr missiles were launched from the Black Sea over Odesa," Operational Command Pivden (South) reported, according to Ukrainska Pravda.
The command specified that air defence forces had destroyed all the missiles.
However, debris from the downed missiles and the blast wave from the downing damaged port infrastructure facilities and several private homes.
An elderly man was wounded in his own home and was taken to hospital.
In addition, according to Operational Command Pivden (South), 21 Shahed-136 drones were destroyed on approach from the sea in Odesa Oblast, and another four in the sky over Mykolaiv Oblast.
An industrial facility was hit as a result of a Russian attack in Mykolaiv, and a fire broke out there. Emergency workers promptly extinguished the fire. There were no victims.
