Ukraine has officially acknowledged that its drones violated Finnish airspace and has apologised to Finnish authorities, the spokesperson for Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heorhii Tykhyi, told reporters.
Tykhyi stated that Ukraine has already apologised to the Finnish side for the incident and is providing Finland with all necessary information to clarify the circumstances, Caliber.Az reports via Ukrainian media.
On March 29, two Ukrainian drones fell near the city of Kouvola in southeastern Finland. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed the situation by phone with Finnish President Sauli Niinistö, emphasising readiness for joint coordination and data sharing.
