Ukraine appoints new prosecutor general PHOTO

Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament) has supported the candidature introduced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and appointed MP from the Servant of the People party, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy Andriy Kostin to the post of prosecutor general.

Some 299 MPs voted "For" Kostin’s candidature, according to UNIAN.

President Zelenskyy also attended the meeting in the Verkhovna Rada.
