Ukraine claims overnight strike on Russia's "shadow fleet" in Sea of Azov VIDEO
Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) said they carried out overnight strikes on eight sanctioned tankers belonging to Russia's "shadow fleet" in the Sea of Azov.
The announcement was made by the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi, better known by his call sign "Madyar."
According to Brovdi, all of the targeted vessels have been identified and are subject to international sanctions.
"All the tankers have been identified. They are under international sanctions, each with a deadweight of approximately 7,000 tons, a length of about 140 metres, and built between 2006 and 2012: Venera-3, Sanar-1, Sanar-17, Klimena, Teti, Aleksey Savrasov, Penelopa, and one additional vessel whose identity is still being established," he said.
