Ukraine claims strikes on Russian naval, fuel infrastructure
Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) said it had conducted coordinated strikes on several military and logistical facilities inside Russia in a joint operation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the military intelligence agency (HUR).
In a statement, the SBU said the operation targeted the 15th Arsenal of the Russian Navy in Russia's Leningrad Region, the Kronstadt Naval Base near St. Petersburg, and the Ust-Labinsk oil depot in the Krasnodar region, Caliber.Az reports.
According to the agency, a fire broke out at the 15th Naval Arsenal following the attack, accompanied by secondary explosions. The facility reportedly stores missiles and ammunition used by Russian naval forces. Ukrainian officials also cited reports from local online communities suggesting that residents of nearby settlements may have been evacuated.
The SBU further claimed that fires were recorded in the vicinity of the Kronstadt Naval Base and the Kronstadt Shipyard. Ukrainian authorities described the facilities as key components supporting Russia's naval operations in the Baltic Sea.
In southern Russia, the Ust-Labinsk oil depot was also reportedly struck. The SBU said multiple explosions were followed by a large fire that engulfed at least three fuel storage tanks. Ukrainian officials characterized the depot as an important logistics hub supplying fuel to Russian military forces operating in southern and eastern Ukraine
