Ukraine intercepts 190 drones in massive overnight assault

The Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that Russia carried out a large-scale overnight drone attack on April 18, launching a total of 219 unmanned aerial vehicles, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types.

According to the Ukrainian military, approximately 150 of the drones were Shahed-type UAVs.

Preliminary data as of 8:30 a.m. shows that Ukrainian air defence forces shot down or neutralised 190 drones across the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.

Despite the high interception rate, strike UAVs were recorded hitting 28 locations. Additionally, wreckage from downed drones was found at nine separate sites.
