Ukraine repels major drone attack but missile breaks through

During the night of February 20, Russia attacked Ukraine with one Iskander-M ballistic missile as well as 128 strike unmanned aerial vehicles, including Shahed, Gerbera, Ilmas and other types. About 80 of them were Shahed drones.

The figures were disclosed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to preliminary data as of the morning, air defence systems shot down or suppressed 107 UAVs in the north, south and east of the country.

Authorities recorded the impact of the ballistic missile and 21 strike drones at 14 locations, while debris from intercepted drones fell at one additional location.
