Ukraine: Russia launches 160 drones overnight, damages infrastructure

Russia launched an overnight attack using 160 strike drones of the “Shahed,” “Gerbera,” “Italmas,” and other types, around 100 of which were “Shahed” UAVs, the Ukrainian Armed Forces said.

According to preliminary data released as of 08:00 local time, Ukrainian air defences shot down or neutralised 133 drones in the north, south, and east of the country, Caliber.Az reports.

Authorities said 20 strike drones hit 10 locations, while debris from downed UAVs was recorded at 11 additional sites.

Separately, Ukrainian regional officials reported sustained attacks in the Dnipropetrovsk region on the evening of April 10 and overnight. Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the regional military administration, said Russian forces struck two districts more than 10 times using drones and artillery.

Strikes were reported in Nikopol, Marhanets, and the Pokrovska community, where fires broke out and infrastructure, a factory, an apartment block, and a shop were damaged.

In the Synelnykivskyi district, the Mykolaivska and Ukrainska communities were also hit. An infrastructure facility was struck, and a private house and vehicles were damaged.

Authorities said there were no reported civilian casualties so far. Damage assessments are ongoing, with emergency services continuing work at the affected sites.
