Ukraine: Russia launches 172 drones overnight, 147 intercepted

Ukraine’s Air Force said Russia launched a large-scale overnight drone attack involving 172 unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the military, around 120 of the drones were Shahed-type attack drones.

Preliminary data show that 147 drones were either shot down or neutralised by air defence systems. However, 22 strike drones hit targets across 12 locations, while falling debris was recorded in eight additional areas.

Authorities are continuing to assess the full extent of the damage.
