Ukraine’s Chernihiv rocked by mass strike, multiple sites damaged
Russian forces carried out a large-scale drone attack on the town of Koriukivka in Ukraine’s Chernihiv region on the morning of April 27, leaving parts of the region without electricity.
Pavlo Miroshnychenko, head of the Koriukivka District Military Administration, and Chernihivoblenergo reported on social media that the city was hit by drones 18 times within 40 minutes.
“Approximately 18 UAV impacts were recorded across three locations. These include a critical infrastructure facility and two enterprises. Nearby buildings were also damaged.
At present, two people are reported injured — a 42-year-old employee of one of the enterprises and an 81-year-old man. Information on the injured is being clarified. Fires are still ongoing at the impact sites. All emergency services are involved in eliminating the consequences of the strikes,” Miroshnychenko said.
