Sybiha expressed gratitude for NATO’s continued backing, highlighting the PURL initiative, a program developed by the United States and NATO that enables European allies to purchase US-made weapons for Ukraine.
While the initiative does not involve direct American military assistance, it is designed to quickly supply Kyiv with urgently needed capabilities by streamlining procurement across Europe.
The foreign minister noted that the upcoming NATO-Ukraine Council meeting would focus on expanding the PURL program and adopting “concrete steps” to accelerate support. He also thanked Rutte for his “personal engagement and leadership in rallying support for our country and people at this difficult time.”
