Iran shaken by two earthquakes, strongest tremor reaches magnitude 5.0

Two earthquakes were recorded in Iran on Sunday, July 19.

According to Fars news agency, the first tremors with a magnitude of 3.7 were registered in Hormozgan Province. Later, a magnitude 5.0 earthquake struck the Saland area in Khuzestan Province.

Seismic activity was felt in several cities across the region, including Andimeshk, Shush and Ahvaz. A magnitude 4.0 aftershock was also recorded in the Saland area.
