Ukraine’s security service detains informant transmitting military data to Russia PHOTO
Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) military counterintelligence, with support from the Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief, apprehended a 21-year-old air defence serviceman in Mykolaiv region for transmitting information to Russia.
Investigators said the informant provided Russia with details on the location of air defence systems near Ukrainian operational airfields, flight directions of aircraft, and positions of air defence units, Caliber.Az reports, citing the SBU's Telegram channel.

During an air alert, he reportedly filmed a monitor displaying classified software on his phone.
The SBU detained the informant immediately after his first communication session with Russia and implemented security measures to safeguard Ukrainian military positions.
Authorities seized a smartphone containing evidence of illegal activity during searches.
The suspect has been charged under several articles of the Ukrainian Criminal Code and faces up to 12 years in prison.
