Ukraine says it downed majority of 262 Russian drones in overnight attack PHOTO
Ukraine said it intercepted or neutralised the majority of a large-scale Russian drone attack overnight, with 246 out of 262 unmanned aerial vehicles shot down or disabled across multiple regions of the country.
The statement was issued by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which said Russia launched the attack on the night of May 25 using strike drones of the “Shahed,” “Gerbera,” and “Italmas” types, as well as decoy drones of the “Parodia” type, Caliber.Az reports.

According to the Ukrainian military, the air assault was repelled using aviation units, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare systems, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups.
“As of 08:00, air defence forces had shot down or neutralized 246 UAVs in the north, south, and east of the country,” the General Staff said in a preliminary assessment.
The military added that 10 attack drones struck nine locations, while debris from downed UAVs was reported at seven separate sites.
“The attack is ongoing; several enemy UAVs are in the airspace. Observe safety precautions!” the General Staff warned.
