03 July 2026 14:23
Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) has stated it carried out strikes on two military air bases in Crimea, targeting aircraft, drone storage facilities and aviation infrastructure.
The SBU said seven aircraft shelters housing Su-30SM, Su-30 and Su-24 fighter and frontline bomber aircraft were hit at the Saky air base, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
It noted that preliminary information indicated at least seven aircraft were destroyed or damaged.
It described the strike as its second attack on the Saky air base this week.
The agency also said two hangars at the Hvardiiske military air base were hit, alleging they were being used to store Shahed drones and aviation equipment.
