Ukraine says it struck Russian aircraft plant, port infrastructure, oil refinery

Ukraine's Security Service (SBU), working in coordination with the country's Defence Forces, said it had carried out strikes on an aircraft manufacturing facility in the occupied Crimean city of Yevpatoria, infrastructure at the Russian port of Taman, and the Volgograd Oil Refinery.

In a statement, the SBU said the operation was conducted in line with objectives set by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to reduce Russia's military capabilities, Caliber.Az reports.

According to the agency, the strike in Yevpatoria hit two hangars used for aircraft storage and a production workshop at the Yevpatoria Aircraft Plant.

The SBU also said infrastructure at the port of Taman was targeted, adding that a large fire had been reported at the site.

In addition, the agency claimed to have successfully struck the Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka oil refinery in Russia's Volgograd region. The refinery, with an annual processing capacity of approximately 15 million tonnes of crude oil, produces petrol, diesel fuel and aviation fuel.
