Ukraine says it struck Russian military targets, thousands of drones
Ukraine’s Armed Forces said they continue active operations aimed at degrading Russia’s offensive capabilities, carrying out strikes both in Russian-occupied Ukrainian territories and inside the Russian Federation.
According to a statement from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian forces hit a command post of Russia’s airborne troops near the town of Sudzha in Russia’s Kursk region overnight on February 9, Caliber.Az reports.
Separately, in Ukraine’s southern Kherson region, Ukrainian troops destroyed a Russian ammunition depot near the village of Novooleksiivka, the statement said.
The General Staff also reported confirmed strikes on three containers storing FPV drones and related components in the Rostov-on-Don area of Russia. Preliminary estimates indicate that approximately 6,000 drones were destroyed, while several additional containers sustained damage.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence said assessments of Russian losses and the full extent of the damage are ongoing.
