Ukraine says Russian drone strike hits civilian vessels in Black Sea
Russian drones have struck two civilian vessels in the Black Sea, killing one crew member and injuring several others, according to Ukrainian officials.
Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Kuleba said the attack involved unmanned aerial vehicles targeting commercial shipping, Caliber.Az reports.
“As a result of the attack by Russian UAVs on civilian vessels in the Black Sea, a crew member of a Panamanian-flagged vessel was killed, and two other seafarers were injured, one of them seriously. My sincere condolences go to the family and loved ones of the deceased.
A vessel flying the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis was also hit, with three crew members sustaining minor injuries,” Kuleba reported.
