Ukraine shoots down 452 Russian drones, missiles in massive overnight attack
Ukraine’s Air Force reported that its air defence systems successfully downed 452 Russian aerial assets during a large-scale attack on the night of November 24–25.
The assault involved a combination of drones and missiles launched from multiple directions, including Russian territory and temporarily occupied Crimea, Caliber.Az reports via Ukrainian media.
According to the Air Force, Russian forces deployed 464 attack UAVs of various types, including approximately 250 Shahed drones, as well as 22 missiles. The missiles included Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles from Russia’s Ryazan oblast, Iskander-K cruise missiles from Kursk oblast, Kalibr cruise missiles launched from the Black Sea, and Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Bryansk oblast.
By 10:00 local time, Ukraine reported that 438 drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles had been destroyed, along with one Kinzhal missile, five Iskander-K cruise missiles, five Kalibr cruise missiles, and three Iskander-M ballistic missiles.
The attacks caused missile strikes and 26 UAV impacts across 15 locations in Ukraine, while debris from the downed aerial targets fell in 12 separate areas. Ukrainian authorities said that air defence units were actively engaged throughout the night to intercept the incoming threats and protect civilian areas.
