Ukraine shoots down 61 Russian drones in overnight counterattack PHOTO

On the night of January 14 to 15, Russia carried out an airstrike using 82 combat drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other models.

About 60 of the drones were Shahed types, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU).

The attack was countered by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

As of 08:30 Kyiv time on January 15, 61 drones had been shot down or neutralised by Ukraine’s air defences.

According to the report, 21 attack drones hit 13 targets, while debris from the intercepted drones fell in three locations.
