Ukraine strikes Russian air defence, military targets in multi-region operation
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that Ukrainian Defence Forces conducted a series of targeted strikes on the night of January 31 aimed at diminishing the offensive capabilities of the Russian military.
Operations hit multiple targets both in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories and on Russian soil.
According to the General Staff, in Luhansk region, near Kamianka, Ukrainian forces successfully destroyed a Tor-M1 surface-to-air missile system. In Zaporizhzhia region, strikes in Rivnopillia, Voskresenka, Pryvillia, and Uspenivka destroyed a Russian drone command post, a supply depot belonging to a motorized rifle brigade, and concentrations of personnel.
In Donetsk region, near Poltavka and Chasiv Yar, Ukrainian forces targeted a motorized rifle regiment command post and additional troop concentrations. The strikes also extended into Bryansk region of Russia, where a Russian drone command post near Sluchovsk was hit.
The General Staff emphasized that details of the operation are still being clarified, noting that further updates may be provided as assessments continue.
