Ukraine targets Russia's "shadow fleet", claims seven vessels hit

Ukraine has claimed to have struck seven vessels allegedly linked to Russia's so-called "shadow fleet", in what Kyiv described as part of an ongoing campaign targeting Moscow's maritime logistics.

Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, commander of a unit within Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, said Ukrainian forces hit seven vessels operating in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.

According to Brovdi, the targets included three oil tankers and four dry cargo ships believed to be connected to Russia's shadow fleet.

Brovdi added that the strikes formed part of Operation MoLoCHKa, which has been conducted from 6 to 20 July. He claimed that Ukrainian forces had struck a total of 183 vessels allegedly linked to Russia's shadow fleet during the operation.
