Ukraine warns it will hit North Korean missile launchers used by Russia

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said North Korean missile launchers would become legitimate military targets if Russia deploys them to carry out strikes against Ukraine.

Speaking as quoted by Ukrainian news outlet UNIAN, Sybiha said Ukrainian forces would strike the launchers if North Korean missile systems are deployed on Russian territory.

Earlier, Reuters, citing Andrii Cherniak, a representative of Ukraine's Defence Intelligence Directorate (HUR), reported that a North Korean missile unit had begun deploying in Russia's Voronezh region, possibly with six launchers and 120 ballistic missiles. According to the report, Russia has already received 40 missiles from North Korea.

Reuters, citing Cherniak, also reported that Pyongyang had delivered a new batch of 40 KN-23 and KN-24 ballistic missiles to Russia and sent personnel.

Thus, the total number of missiles will be finalised during negotiations next month. Russia is seeking to receive 120 ballistic missiles and six launchers.
