Ukrainian army claims strikes on Russian radar systems, military infrastructure

17 April 2026 15:49

The Ukrainian Armed Forces said it carried out a series of strikes targeting Russian military infrastructure, including radar systems, command posts, and logistics facilities, according to a statement released by the General Staff.

The military said operations conducted on April 16 and overnight into April 17 hit multiple command and observation posts. These included a position near the village of Dolgoye in Luhansk region, as well as sites used to control unmanned aerial vehicles near Tyotkino in Russia’s Kursk region and in parts of Zaporizhzhia region, Caliber.Az reports.

Additional targets included a weapons repair base and a logistics hub in areas of Donetsk Oblast, along with a storage site for assault boats in Crimea.

The Ukrainian military also reported strikes on ammunition depots in parts of Kherson Oblast, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions, as well as fuel and supply depots near settlements in Luhansk.

According to the statement, earlier operations resulted in the confirmed destruction of advanced Russian radar systems, including the Nebo-M radar system and the Podlet radar system. A facility described as a drone laboratory in Donetsk region was also reported destroyed earlier this month.

The General Staff said assessments of casualties and the full extent of the damage are ongoing.
