Ukrainian Defence Minister threatens Russia with new weapons
18 April 2022 15:11
Ukrainian Defence Minister, Oleksii Reznikov, voiced threats to Russia, warning that partners of Kyiv handed over the latest NLAW anti-missile systems to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Caliber.Az reports, citing Reznikov's Twitter page, that the minister highlighted the supremacy of law; however, blamed Russia for not obeying the law.
“Russia came to us with war, massacres, and looting. There is no law for them. But thanks to our partners, Ukraine has NLAW for them,” the minister said.
The Next Generation Light Anti-Tank Weapon, known as NLAW, is a lightweight, portable short-range anti-tank guided missile. The United Kingdom reportedly supplied 2,000 pieces of the weapon to Ukraine in January of this year.
