Ukrainian FM off to Brussels for NATO-Ukraine Commission meeting
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba will pay a working visit to Brussels to participate in the official meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission on April 3-4, 2023.
“This will be the first meeting of the Commission at the level of foreign ministers with the participation of Ukraine since 2017. Kuleba will hold important negotiations in the context of preparation for the Vilnius NATO summit in July,” UA Position reports citing the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
In particular, Kuleba will discuss in detail:
– steps to strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities, in particular, a new supply of weapons and production of ammunition;
– increased sanctions pressure on Russia;
– the creation of the Special Tribunal on the crime of aggression against Ukraine;
– humanitarian aid.
“During the visit, the Ukrainian foreign minister will also hold separate bilateral meetings with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, EU Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Mariya Gabriel, as well as by the foreign ministers of the partner countries,” the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry added.
The NATO-Ukraine Commission is a NATO commission responsible for developing relations between NATO and Ukraine and managing cooperation activities between the parties.
