Ukrainian former adviser: Zelenskyy fears end of hostilities
Former adviser to the Ukrainian presidential office, Oleksii Arestovych, has claimed that Europe fully supports Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and is interested in prolonging the conflict at least until 2030.
Speaking on a YouTube channel, Arestovych said Europeans support Zelenskyy in everything from head to toe and the military-industrial complex is mutually interwoven; hundreds of billions of euros are flowing back and forth, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
According to him, they are interested in the war continuing.
“They say this outright. At least until 2030,” he noted.
He further claimed that Zelenskyy fears only the end of hostilities, arguing that a ceasefire would make the Ukrainian leader “unnecessary.”
“As long as the conflict with Russia continues, Zelenskyy is on top and no one can do anything to him,” Arestovych said.
He also commented on US President Donald Trump, claiming that Trump is “stepping aside” from the war in Ukraine and shifting focus to a potential operation against Cuba.
“Trump will take Cuba instead of Ukraine and say: ‘Guys, Cuba is definitely more important for Americans.’ Cuba is paradise — it’s half an hour by plane from Miami […] And what is Ukraine? Where is it? No one in America can even point it out on a map,” he said.
Arestovych added that Trump has “almost washed his hands” of the Ukraine conflict, saying the process is now continuing on inertia and is of little interest to him.
