Ukrainian intelligence chief hangs map of “collapsed” Russia in his office PHOTO
Chief of the Ukrainian Defence Intelligence, Major-Gen. Kyrylo Budanov, has given an interview with the Ukrainian news service Liga.net.
During the interview, journalists noticed in his office a map of Russia divided into signed parts.
A screenshot published by Liga.net shows that Russia is divided into several territories on the map. The centre of the country is marked as CAR (no abbreviation is given), and the territories close to China - with the letter "K". The Kuril Islands are assigned to Japan, the Kaliningrad region to Germany, northern Russia to Finland, and the Kursk, Belgorod oblasts and Krasnodar Krai to Ukraine.
The journalists asked Budanov whether this was "the next stage after the reaching the borders in 1991".
"Everyone sees what they want to see. Maybe it's just a broad marker. Or maybe not," Budanov replied.
In addition, a mock-up of the missile cruiser Moskva was also noticed on his desktop, which was sunk in April 2022, according to a photo published by Liga.net. Its wreckage is on Ukraine's list of underwater cultural heritage.
