Ukrainian military downs 273 Iran-made drones on battlefields
Since September 13, to date, the Ukrainian military has shot down 273 Shahed-136 Iranian kamikaze drones.
The information came from Yuri Ignat, spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, RBC-Ukraine reports.
"To date, since the first use of the kamikaze drone - in Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region on September 13, as of today, we already have 273 "Shahed-136 [drones] shot down," Ignat said.
According to Ignat, Russia is using two modifications of "Shahed" UAVs against Ukraine - 136 and 131. The latter is smaller and carries a small warhead. However, kamikaze drones remain precision-guided weapons that fly accurately and can hit a critical point, resulting in a lot of damage.
At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down 4 more Mohajer-6 attack drones of Iranian production. One of them survived, and it is now being studied by experts.
