Ukrainian minister reveals key topic on next “Ramstein” meeting agenda
Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov has said that aviation issues would be key to discussions at the ninth Ramstein meeting to be held on February 14.
The meeting on Ukraine’s defence will also discuss deliveries of tanks and the creation of an ammunition stockpile for Ukraine, RBC-Ukraine quotes Reznikov as saying.
According to him, the protection of the Ukrainian skies, particularly the issue of aviation, and the development of the "tank coalition" are on the agenda.
The allies will also discuss:
o the creation of an ammunition stockpile;
o training programmes for the Ukrainian army;
o the stability of support - logistics, maintenance, repair, practical implementation of the "Military Schengen" (zone of free movement of military units).
Reznikov added that he has held a series of conversations with partners in the run-up to the meeting.
According to him, their involvement and support give optimism.
