Ukrainian team heads to UAE to advance diplomacy, Zelenskyy says
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said his team is heading to the United Arab Emirates for further diplomatic talks, as he outlined recent contacts and next steps in Ukraine’s international efforts.
In a post on his Telegram channel, Zelenskyy said he had spoken with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, stressing the importance of continued exchanges of views and coordinated diplomatic action.
During the conversation, Zelenskyy briefed the Norwegian leader on his recent meetings with US President Donald Trump and on Ukraine’s plans to advance diplomatic initiatives.
“I spoke with Jonas, the Prime Minister of Norway. I highly value our exchange of views,” Zelenskyy wrote. He said the discussion also covered the work of the Ukrainian delegation, which is currently travelling to the United Arab Emirates to hold meetings with both the American and Russian sides. Zelenskyy noted that a key issue will be assessing the outcomes of these talks and defining further steps in international diplomacy.
Zelenskyy also shared his assessment of the recent Davos forum, emphasising that Ukraine must strengthen its position and intensify cooperation with partners worldwide. “We definitely need to become stronger and work more together — everyone in Europe,” he said.
