Unidentified aircraft enters Moldovan airspace amid Russian attacks on Ukraine

An unidentified aircraft illegally entered Moldova’s airspace on September 26, as Russia carried out attacks on Ukraine, Moldova’s Ministry of Defence said.

According to the ministry, the object entered Moldovan airspace in the afternoon from the direction of Ukraine’s Odesa region, approaching from near the village of Stepanivka, Caliber.Az reports. 

It then crossed Moldova’s state border toward Novokotovsk, located in the territory of the unrecognised Transnistrian region.

The aircraft later left Moldovan airspace, crossing the border near Limansky in Ukraine’s Odesa region, the ministry said.
