Unknown man takes two people hostage at barbershop in Ukraine’s Odesa VIDEO
An unidentified man took two people hostage at a barbershop in Odesa, Ukraine.
According to RBC-Ukraine, the man locked himself inside the barbershop with several people in the city’s Khadzhibeyskyi district on the morning of July 8.
Ukraine’s National Police spokesperson Yuliia Hirdvilis said the man was not making threats against those inside but refused to open the door. Patrol officers, an investigative team, and special forces were dispatched to the scene.
Police eventually managed to open the door of the barbershop. The man did not harm any of the people inside.
Law enforcement officers are currently speaking with those involved, while additional medical assistance has been requested for the man. Further details of the incident are being established.
