Unmanned drone assault hits Russian frigate in Novorossiysk
The Russian frigate Admiral Grigorovich was reportedly attacked in the port of Novorossiysk by drone systems, according to Robert Brovdi (Madyar), commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ unmanned systems. Simultaneous strikes also hit the Sivas drilling rig and the Sheskharis oil terminal.
Madyar shared the information on his Telegram channel, attaching related video footage.
The Admiral Grigorovich is the first military frigate of Russia’s Burevestnik project, equipped with eight Kalibr cruise missiles and 24 missiles of the Shtil-1 surface-to-air system.
According to the report, the frigate launched its air-defence missiles while approaching the target, but the drones still managed to inflict minor damage.
The extent of the damage is being assessed by intelligence sources. The regional governor, commenting on the nighttime fire at the Sheskharis port—which was affected by a deep-strike operation—stated, “Drone debris has been found,” which observers interpret as confirmation of the attack. Further details are available through publicly monitored Telegram channels.
