Upcoming COP29 prompts shift to distance learning in Baku, Sumgayit & Absheron

In connection with the upcoming COP29 in Azerbaijan in November 2024, distance learning will be implemented in Baku, Sumgayit, and the Absheron district at vocational, secondary, and higher education levels.

This decision is outlined in a decree by the Cabinet of Ministers, titled "On additional measures to organize activities of educational institutions operating in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan during the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), the 19th session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol, and the 6th session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement," Caliber.Az reports.

In keeping with the resolution, distance learning will be applied in these regions from 12 to 22 November 2024, affecting vocational, specialized secondary, and higher education institutions.
