US closely watching Russia, China over Iran conflict, Pentagon chief says

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said Washington is closely tracking the actions of Russia and China in connection with the ongoing conflict involving Iran, stressing that the United States is prepared to respond where necessary.

Speaking at a press conference, Hegseth indicated that US authorities are maintaining awareness of both countries’ activities, though he declined to disclose specifics, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

“We know exactly what Russia and China are doing with Iran. We are addressing it,” he said.

Hegseth did not provide further details, underscoring the sensitivity of the issue as tensions continue to evolve around the Iran conflict.
